Bridport Art Society welcomes you.....
We are a friendly group with artists of all levels of experience.
The Society is non-profit making and encourages painting, drawing, print-making, sculpture and 3D artworks.
We normally expect to run a full programme of events over the year and new members are always welcome.
The Society is planning events including monthly meetings for 2022. We hope to arrange an Easter Exhibition at the Salt House in West Bay and a Summer Exhibition at Symondsbury – we will make announcements through our Newsletter to be published each month.
Friday Meets, starting at 19:30 (7.30pm) at Bridport Christian Fellowship, 4&5 Kings Square, East Street, DT6 3QE (Rear of East Street car park, Bridport.) Inc. complimentary coffee/tea.

Friday 29th July Demonstration by Belinda Reynall of Summer Woodlands Painting (See Workshop List)

Friday 21st October Demonstration by Hannah Twine Wildlife & Animal Portraits in Pastel. (see Workshop List)
Friday 25th November Christmas Party and art competition.
We are pleased to be welcoming back members to the monthly meetings – subject to changes in regulations and advice!

Summer of ’22
Friday 18th March The AGM was attended by about 30 members and the following committee elected with the Chair position discussed and agreed at the first committee meeting (22nd April)

Also Miranda Pender was elected as Newsletter Editor and Charles Hallsworth as Web site Manager.
Elaine Butcher was presented with a Life Membership certificate for her 8 years of service on the committee
Entries for the annual Marlow Prize – there were about 25 pictures entered and the winning entry was by Elaine Butcher who received the Marlowe Prize.
Members Meeting – 4th February 2022
A good turn out for the first assessment meeting of 2022 with Phil Clayton reviewing over 20 artworks brought along by members.
The feedback was well received and appreciated by the artists
